Warning Message -

In the Deductions grid, you must enter a valid Department Code or leave blank

 

This message will appear if a nonexistent department code has been typed in under the Deductions tab.

 

Solution

  • Click OK if the message is still showing.
  • If at any time the message "Cannot focus on a disabled or invisible window" appears, just click OK.
  • Click on the Deductions tab.
  • Press the ESC key (the ESCape key usually on the upper left hand side of your keyboard) two or three times.
  • Click SAVE then EXIT to return to the main menu.
  • The problem should now be solved so you can return to "Enter Current Pay" and continue entering details.

 

 

More Information

The first column is the Department Code column, and the second column is the Deduction Code column.

You may get the above warning message if you enter the deduction code into the department column by mistake.
