A warning message of another kind advises that you have entered incorrect information -
and you cannot continue.
If you receive a warning message from Payroll Pro and click OK, but cannot see where the problem is, in most cases simply pressing the ESC (Escape Key on your keyboard) two or three times will solve the problem.
An example might be
- You entered an amount such as 1.23456 hours and Payroll Pro tells you that you cannot enter any more than 2 decimal places.
- Click OK at the bottom of the warning message.
- Then press ESC on your keyboard two or three times. Once should actually be enough to cancel the input that is causing the problem, but pressing this key two or three times will not hurt.
- The information causing the problem should then revert to it's original format, and the problem solved.
Another example might be an invalid date - such as 39/02/2011
- Click OK at the bottom of the warning message.
- Then press ESC on your keyboard two or three times. Once should actually be enough to cancel the input that is causing the problem, but pressing this key two or three times will not hurt.
- The incorrect date should then revert to it's original value, and the problem solved.
